Today's Discrimination Requires Today's Education.

Many universities, schools, workplaces, and cultural organizations have invested in antisemitism education, yet continue to struggle with rising hostility, exclusion, and discrimination against Jews and Israelis. How is this possible? Traditional training on anti-Jewish hate typically focuses on racial and religious forms of prejudice while overlooking the primary source of contemporary anti-Jewish hostility: antizionism.

Today's hostility uses different vocabulary, symbols, and cultural associations than older forms. Today, Jews and Israelis are marked as “Zionists,” portrayed as colonizers, racists, or proxies of an inherently illegitimate state. These patterns and tropes are not adequately explained by frameworks of classical antisemitism. Antizionism has its own intellectual history and an extensive historically documented trail of harm. Without an understanding of these distinctions and experiences, institutions struggle to recognize discrimination even as it takes place within their own spaces. 

The Center for Antizionism Education fills this critical education gap. We provide specialized education on contemporary antizionism itself: where it originated, how its topes and stereotypes developed, how it constructs Jews and Israelis as targets, and how its rhetoric translates into harassment, exclusion, and violence. We help institutional leaders distinguish legitimate civic discourse from antizionist hostility and respond effectively to forms of discrimination that conventional training renders invisible and unaddressed.

The Center for Antizionism Education is a nonpartisan initiative that helps Jews and non-Jews alike learn and take steps to protect the rights of Jews and Israelis with moral authority, conviction, and consistency.
